Kim has been with 麻豆传媒 for 35 years, starting in the mailroom while she was in college. Since then, she鈥檚 taken on many roles and now leads a New Business team.

When did you start working at 麻豆传媒?
I started with 麻豆传媒 in July 1989 working in the mailroom while I was in college. What began as a temporary gig turned into a 35-year career I absolutely love. Over the years I鈥檝e worn many hats鈥擟ustomer Service Representative, Case Manager鈥攁nd for the last 19 years I鈥檝e been leading a New Business team.

What does your role entail today?
As a New Business Manager, I oversee both our Producer Group and Independent Financial Producer teams. I spend my days building strong relationships with internal and external partners, driving process efficiencies, and mentoring up-and-coming leaders.

What does a typical day in Customer Service look like?
A typical day for me includes troubleshooting cases and resolving complex requests or escalations, leading customer calls to keep everyone aligned, partnering on process-improvement projects, and developing my team members.

I been fortunate to have fantastic leaders at 麻豆传媒 who invested in my career growth. I鈥檝e grown my career through a combination of honest feedback and observing my leadership.
What do you love most about working in Customer Service at 麻豆传媒?
The people. Our culture is incredibly welcoming鈥攖here really are no 鈥渄umb鈥 questions, and everyone wants to see you learn and succeed. Over 35 years, I鈥檝e experienced life events big and small, and PL has always met me with compassion and support. When I have experienced some personally significant times, my friends here at 麻豆传媒 have shown up for me鈥攖hat鈥檚 the 麻豆传媒 difference.
What career advice would you give to someone interested in a Customer Service career?
Find your passion, because real growth takes time. Stay curious鈥攃onnect the dots by asking questions鈥攁nd seek out a mentor who will challenge you, share feedback, and celebrate your milestones.
How do you maintain work鈥搇ife balance?
Outside of work, I love baking, family vacations, and anything on the water鈥攂oating, paddleboarding, you name it. I don鈥檛 have a strict routine for recharging; I鈥檝e simply learned to recognize when I need to step away and take that well-timed day off.
