The Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation welcomed students from the program to its Newport Beach campus in June and July 2025, reinforcing our commitment to supporting college and career readiness programs for under-resourced students. Hosted by UC Irvine’s Paul Merage School of Business, LIFEvest is a free, weeklong residential experience that equips high school students with essential financial literacy, life planning and networking skills. Â鶹´«Ã½ helped 142 students from 50 different high schools take meaningful steps toward building brighter futures—empowered with knowledge, confidence and a clearer path to college and career success.
The Foundation’s 10-year, $2 million commitment to LIFEvest in 2019 reflects a belief that access to education is vitally important to our communities—and is central to Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s purpose of providing Confidence for Generations. Through immersive learning, mentorship and exposure to college life, students leave the program empowered to become the first in their families to pursue higher education and long-term financial stability.
This year, 50 Â鶹´«Ã½ employees volunteered as mentors during the speed networking and professional etiquette dinner and served as coaches during students’ final LIFEplan presentations. Students also had the opportunity to hear directly from Â鶹´«Ã½ leadership about their life journeys—from navigating high school and college to building successful careers. The stories and experiences shared by executives and volunteers helped students envision a future filled with possibility.

About LIFEvest:
The Â鶹´«Ã½ LIFEvest Financial Literacy Program, hosted by the Center for Investment and Wealth Management at the UC Irvine Paul Merage School of Business, is a weeklong summer on-campus training program dedicated to teaching underserved students currently enrolled in 8th and 9th grade about financial literacy. Students who apply live in Southern California, and come from low-income, diverse, and underrepresented communities in Orange County, Los Angeles, and Riverside. More than 90% of them would be the first in their families to go to college.
In 2019, the Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation made a 10-year, $2 million commitment to the LIFEvest program. With a shared vision to support underserved communities with financial education, the program strives to strengthen an understanding in financial matters, expose students to a college campus, encourage admission to a college or university, explore various career fields, and inspire confidence and success in all areas of life.
